Vietnamese Irish Network of Adoptive Families (VINAF) is a voluntary support group. The aim of this group is to provide support, give information to and form a social network for families in Ireland that have adopted or are thinking of adopting from Vietnam.

In 2001, after about 80 families had successfully adopted from Vietnam, and with the numbers adopting from Vietnam still growing at the time, a number of families who were in contact with one another voluntarily set up the Vietnamese Adoption Group.
In 2003, this organization assumed the name of  Vietnamese Irish Network of Adoptive Families  (VINAF) to more accurately reflect it’s aims.

As part of the activities, the network organizes 3 to 4 social gatherings in a year usually coinciding with important Vietnamese cultural events like the TET ,( the Vietnamese New Year) that falls in January/February, or the Tet Trung Thu, (the Moon Cake festival celebrated by children) in September. We also organize an annual outing/excursion and we will also hold information nights as the need arises.

The website shares information among members with help and tips and advice about the process of adoption including paperwork, visas, travel, etc. It also helps to facilitate an understanding of Vietnamese culture for those families who want to adopt from Vietnam.
